Microsoft to form a new organization called Microsoft AI, focused on advancing Copilot and  other consumer AI products and research. Mustafa Suleyman will be EVP and CEO, Microsoft AI. He previously was Inflection AI CEO, and co-founder  of  Google DeepMind.

Cadence released an AI-driven digital twin solution for sustainable data center design and expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA on EDA, system design and analysis, digital biology, and AI.

Synopsys is using NVIDIA’s GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip across its EDA stack and extending its LLM-based program Synopsys.ai to support NVIDIA AI and compute platforms.

Chinese carmakers BYD, Hyper, and XPENG  adopted  NVIDIA’s  DRIVE  Thor centralized car computer built for generative AI applications, powered by its new Blackwell chip, for their robotaxis, robobuses, and last-mile autonomous delivery vehicles.

To accelerate efforts to combat the $140 billion in economic losses due to extreme weather brought on by climate change, NVIDIA  announced its Earth-2 climate digital twin cloud platform for simulating and visualizing weather and climate at unprecedented scale.

France’s competition watchdog fined Google  $270 million, saying the search giant breached some commitments it made to negotiate fair license deals with an array of news publishers in the country. The company is using news articles to train its A.I.  Gemini chatbot.
